We seek a friendly and technically minded person with solid Linux experience gained from working in a hosting or IT service environment. We are looking for people who have a desire to develop existing and new skills in a fast paced environment working on behalf of some of the world's biggest companies. An ability to 'think on your feet' and to solve problems in a calm, methodical manner is a must.
We are opening a new branch in Prague as the base for our research and development (R&D) department concentrating on large scale systems deployment and configuration using the latest technologies. Working with system administrators and developers, R&D team develops system automation tools to manage thousands of servers all around the world. You will be responsible for building automation tools that are managing hundreds of servers all around the world.

Excellent written and spoken english
Experience of using one or more Linux distributions.
Ability to understand network configurations - DNS, TCP/IP
Ability to configure and troubleshoot Apache
Demonstrable enthusiasm for technology
Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
Ability to understand and write Java and/or Ruby and/or BASH scripts
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience of using, or administering, the Atlassian suite of applications
Java web application management and troubleshooting
Previous experience of using Puppet or another configuration management system
Deployment of servers using Amazon EC2 or similar cloud based provider
Work alongside MFF graduates and get in touch with upcoming technologies
Occasional trips to London
Suitable alongside studies, working on projects suitable as bc, mgr thesis
